Our Self-Sealing Bio Filters solve air leak problems that are inherent to most standard cardboard frame filters. Most filter racks must be built slightly larger than the filter itself in order to allow your furnace filter to slide in freely, thus allowing for air leaks around the filter.
Our filters have additional media that seal the free space in your filter rack. They have also been tested to have less resistance to airflow than a cardboard framed pleated filter in the same MERV rating class.
If you are looking to filter air borne particulates through the filter with lower airflow resistance once the filter loads, than this is the filter of choice.
